Ahmedabad is the largest contributor to Gujarat’s GDP. The city’s industry was growing at 13.5% in the pre-pandemic times with major contributions from engineering, chemicals, textiles, pharma, cement and ceramic, drugs, gems and jewellery sectors.
The pandemic put a dent in this growth as numerous industries across Gujarat (and the country) faced acute liquidity crisis, resulting in closure of 3600+ chemical units and 1938 other companies.
Now that we’ve left the crisis behind us, Ahmedabad’s industry is back on its growth trajectory. Manufacturing is back in full throttle and output levels of sectors like textiles, engineering, chemicals, etc. have also bounced back. In fact, the pandemic has brought in a new work normal where automation, digitization, and hybrid work environments have become a part and parcel of every business strategy. Digital innovation enables enterprises to future proof their business and make them more sustainable against any crisis.
The challenge now is to understand how to incorporate digital into the growth strategy. Every sector has their own unique business challenges, which makes the road to digitization even more challenging.
Automation and digital alignment are a must for every business in the post-pandemic world. Hear renowned speakers and business leaders discuss how to enable sustainable business growth in the new digital era.
So many industrial units were shut down due to the pandemic. Many businesses fought hard against all the odds and managed to sustain themselves even during these troubled times to emerge stronger than ever before. Join us in felicitating these Covid Champions.
