Dr. P. V. Ramesh, IAS (Retd.), is a distinguished former civil servant and Senior Advisor with deep expertise in strategy, policy, governance, and digital transformation. A 1985-batch IAS officer of the Andhra Pradesh cadre and a trained physician from Christian Medical College, Vellore, he brings over 35 years of leadership experience across public administration, corporate leadership, and international development, including roles as Special Chief Secretary, Andhra Pradesh and CMD of REC Limited.
He pioneered India’s first SAP-based financial management system, creating a high-efficiency digital backbone for public finance, and has managed large-scale investments and programs across sectors. Dr. Ramesh has worked extensively with global institutions such as UNFPA, IFAD, UNOPS, and the World Bank, delivering impact across 40+ countries. His expertise spans public finance, renewable energy, climate resilience, health systems, and public-private partnerships, and he remains a strong advocate for responsible, citizen-centric adoption of emerging technologies, particularly in AI and digital public infrastructure.
