S Krishnan is the Secretary of the Ministry of Electronics & IT, Government of India. An IAS officer since 1989, he previously served as the Additional Chief Secretary of Tamil Nadu and as an Advisor at the IMF. He leads the Digital India Mission, driving India’s digital transformation. Key initiatives under his leadership include fostering the growth of the semiconductor sector through attracting investments and establishing a robust domestic ecosystem. He is also a strong advocate for the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC), promoting a more inclusive and competitive digital market. Mr. Krishnan brings expertise in public finance, policymaking, and governance to his role.
